Glendon Rusch is giving new meaning to the term "Number Two Starter" In the Cubs' 8-6 loss to the Cincinnati Reds, Rusch managed to give up a homerun to Reds pitcher, Bronson Arroyo, who had never hit a homerun before he faced the G-unit. Infact, before Wednesday, Arroyo had barely hit anything at all. He had a total of 4 hits in 55 career at bats, with a .077 batting average and 33 strikeouts. His last hit was on Oct. 2, 2001.

Cubs Exhume Grissom; Sign to Deal

Cubs GM Jim Hendry has proven once again that he can be creative. Based on a tip from manager Dusty Baker, the Cubs have been able to exhume the mummified remains of veteran outfielder Marquis Grissom. Hendy has made extra effort to provide Dusty with aged veterans in one last push for a championship. Grissom added that the mummification procedure will actually allow him to continue playing for an additional 100 years.

In a couple of unsuccessful spring experiments, both INF Dave Hansen and RP Stephen Randolph have been sent packing by the Cubs. I was rooting for Hansen too, but Jose Macias seems to have too much MoJo for Hendry and Dusty to give him up.
